The systematics, taxonomy, corology and ecology od Cuscuta species in Kutahya and surroundings

This study was carried out to determine the parasitic species of cuscuta L. Of Kütahya and its surroundings, causing damaging effects on some economically valuable some plants and on many other plants. Within the content of study; field studies were performed between 2007-2008 ,and herbarium materials were also taken into consideration .The species of cuscuta, which is represented with 16 species in Turkey Flora, were determined in the study field, and information about their general features and their distributions were explained.In conclusion, a total of nine taxons belonging to Cuscuta genus were identified in the study field of these, C. campestris Yuncker, C. babylonica Aucher Ex Choisy var. elegans Boiss.& Bal, C. europaea Linnaeus, C. palaestina Boiss. subsp. balansae Yuncker, C. approximata Babington var. approximata Babington, C. planiflora Ten. var. tenorii Engelmann, C. brevistyla A. Braun, C. monogyna Vahl. Were distributed in Kütahya (eight of them), C. campestris Yuncker, C. kotschyana Boiss. subsp. caudata Bornm& Schward, C. palaestina Boiss. subsp. balansae Yuncker, C. approximata Babington var. approximata Babington, C. brevistyla (A. Braun) were found to be distributed in Eskisehir (accountiy to 5 of them) .
