Prof. Süleyman TOPAL SUMMARY This research showing rare species of "Gentiana lııteal '" in Turkey between the years of 2012-2019 of the "Kütahya Gümüşdağ Radar" to determine the characteristics of the distribution and habitat in the area of location is made for the purpose. "Karlıktepe and Nalbanttepe" are the two highest points of Gümüşdağı mountain range lying in the east-west directions to the south of Kütahya city center. These parts have very humid forest vegetation. This plant, which has a natural spread in and around the Alpine forest zone, has not been adequately developed in the plant population due to unmethodical and illegal dismantling by humans and intensive grazing of small and bovine animals. In this study, the natural distribution areas of the Gentiana lutea L, morphological characteristics, ecological determinations and their status in the field are presented. It is strongly recommended that this area must be meticulously protected. Keywords: Gentiana lutea L., Kütahya.
