Abstract (EN)

When we are thought that using in buildings of a large part as %31 of total energyconsuming in Turkey, energy which using in order to heat in building may used saving. In thisstudy, when it was used that different energy sources (natural gas, import coal, Seyitömer coal)in order to heat buildings in Kütahya, optimum isolatin thickness (XPS, EPS) for differentisolatin materials, energy savings and repayment times were calculated. Optimum isolationthickness account was made consider to interest and inflation rates according to life-costanalysis. These accounts were made on the brink of exteriorly isolation and sandvic wall on twodifferent wall model. When natural gas was used as energy source, optimum isolation thickness, energy savings and repayment were obtained as 0.059m, %54 and 1.8 year, respectively. Whennatural gas was used as energy source, optimum isolation thickness, energy savings andrepayment were obtained as 0.059m, %54 and 1.8 year for sandwic wall and 0.060m, %57 and1.8 year for isolation wall from out and 0.054m, %46 and 2.2 year for isolation wall from outmade with ytong, respectively. When export coal was used as energy source, optimum isolationthickness, energy economic and repayment were obtained as 0.072m, %60 and 1.6 year forsandwic wall and 0.074, %62 and 1.6 year for isolation wall from out and 0.068m, %53 and 1.9year for isolation wall from out made with ytong, respectively. When Seyitömer coal was usedas energy source, optimum isolation thickness, energy economic and repayment were obtainedas 0.046m, %47 and 2.1 year for sandwic wall and 0.047, %50 and 2 year for isolation wallfrom out and 0.042m, %40 and 2.6 year for isolation wall from out made with ytong, respectively. If approximate 2600 buildings which use natural gas in Kütahya have optimumisolation thickness, examines show that may provided approximate 3.106 TL saving in one year. Keywords: Optimum isolatin thickness, energy savings, heating cost
