The conservation and results of the concert marriage in Kütahya

In these study, the research has been done on the frequercy of consanguineous marriage and the relationships of these marriages with congenital malformations, spontaneous birth falls and child death in the province of Kütahya. In the study, 300 women who were married with consanguineous fashion were in cluded. The study results were collected by face to face interview technique by researcher between June- September 2017 by using survey form having introductory characteristiques of these women and questining independent survey variables. The arranged marriage by families among the selection of consanguineous marriage by women is the number one reason by 71,3 % . It is determined that 62% of women joined these study had only primary school degree with no further education. It was found that half-cousine marriage with 77,4% was the most frequent consanguineous marriage in the province of Kütahya. It is discovered that 14,3 % of women joined to our study carried at the birth even knowing before birth that their infort had congenital anomalies. The blood incompalitibility was delected in 4,3% women who knew their own and their husband's blood group. Mental retardation, psyhiatric anomality, congenital defect, anatomical anomaly and metabolic disorders were detected in families who made consanguineous marriage 63% of them had brith falls and 64,7 % of them had child death dwing birth. We suggest that health service officers should inform and direct women had consanguineous marriage about genetic counseling, information of these families about the risks and harms of consanguines marriage by communication media tolls and repeat of researches investigating the thoughts of women about consanguineous marriage.
