Abstract (EN)

The study is titled, "The comparison of the effects of inspiration and expiration on strength during strength training exercises" 33 football players aged 14 to19 from Aydıngençler Sports Club took part in this study. Inspration group (n=11) including 11 football players (age:14,54 ± 1,80, height:166,72 ± 12,78, weight:53,44 ± 11,74), expration group (n=11) including 11 football players (age:14,09 ± 1,70, height:165,45 ± 9,94, weight:58,57 ± 19,03), control group (n=11) including 11 football players (age:14,63 ± 1,62, height:166,27 ± 11,72, weight:54,26 ± 12,36) have been formed randomly out of 33-player sportman group. While the prepared 8-week strength training applied for inspiration and expration groups, the control group continued their routine training. Before and after the 8-week exercises, measurements of maximal strength, flexibility, body fat percentages and body circumference were made. To state the changes occured at the end of the study, comparisons between three groups have been evaluated on α=0.05 significance level in SPSS 23 by getting the average values of dependent variables according to Kruskal Wallis. Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test The Mann-Whitney U Test were done for significant effects of dependent variables. At the end of the study, compared to pre-study, maximal bench press, squat, back and legs strengths has made statically significant process (p>0,05). Compared to inspration and control group, expration group has made significant process on maximal squat strength(p>0,05). Key words: Inspration, Expration, Maximum Strength
