Abstract (EN)

The construction sector is among the most frequent fatal injuries and occupational accidents resulting in permanent work incapacity experienced sectors in our country. One of the main reasons why the accidents resulting in injury and death are common in this sector is that there are many working areas with level difference. It is aimed to prevent work accidents and occupational diseases by the occupational health and and safety studies. And the first step in protecting the health and safety of employees is a properly established risk management. It is necessary to be careful in choosing the risk analysis method so that the risk assessment phase in construction sites does not involve a long process and is as simple and accessible as possible. In this study, L Type (5x5 matrix) which is one of the most frequently used risk assesment method by occupational safety experts, and 3T method, which is recommended by ISGIP but not yet implemented much, are integrated with ISO 31000 Risk Management components and applied for construction roof activites, which is one of the sources of physical hazards. In the light of the results obtained, it is concluded that both methods reveal the risks that will require emergency action, but the 3T risk assessment method can be a more useful method than the L Type (5x5 matrix) risk assessment method for the analysts through its existing modules at the point of revealing the risks.
