Economic and social life in the Ottoman Empire according to the 1890 year's news of La Turquie Newspaper

The aim of our study, titled "Economic and Social Life in the Ottoman Empire According to the 1890 year's News of La Turquie Newspaper", is create a comprehensive and up-to-date study of the economic and social life of the Ottoman Empire, which has undergone many reforms and changes towards in the end of 19th century. The scope of the thesis is limited to the year 1890, when the Ottoman Empire tried to recover itself economically and made reforms, and the daily edition of La Turquie newspaper published in this year. Within the scope of our study, all copies of La Turquie published in 1890 were reviewed one by one and all news headlines were converted into an index table in excel format chronologically. There are 5256 news titles in this table, which is in the appendices of our thesis. In the table, both the original French titles and Turkish translations of the news. As a result of this study, we had the opportunity to interpret the economic and social developments experienced by the Ottoman Empire during the year of 1890.
