Özet (EN)
Deformations can be easily calculated with the usage of numerical analysis programs and computers. However, there are uncertainties about the formation and size of permanent deformations when the soil behavior cannot be predicted completely due to differences in soil parameters and models. These uncertainties can lead to uncompensated results. Uncertainties can only be eliminated by real modeling and determining the actual behavior of the ground. One of the most advanced modeling techniques in terms of soil problems is geotechnical centrifuge model testing. In this study, geotechnical centrifugal test equipment was designed and the change of soil parameters was investigated. The test instrument has 1.50 m arm length and 40 g acceleration capacity. The test system was confirmed by several consolidation models. The test system was also confirmed by different heights and accelerations in the same prototypes between the models. Then, the settlement behaviors of the shallow foundations in different shape were examined and compared with the literature.
