Abstract (EN)

In this study, the properties of laminate flooring boards used in homes and workplaces according to thickness and quality class were determined and compared. Six different quality parquets of 8 mm and 10 mm thickness were used as the material. Laminate flooring samples were obtained from a commercial enterprise. The physical, mechanical and surface quality properties of laminate floorings were determined according to the relevant TS EN standard and the results obtained were evaluated. According to the results obtained, it was observed that laminate flooring thickness did not have a significant effect on the surface properties of boards such as abrasion and scratching, but it was effective on physical and mechanical properties. It has been determined that panel surface coating material and additives mostly affect the surface quality. Abrasion class 6 (AC6) was obtained in the highest abrasion value in 16800 rpms. As a result, it has been understood that it is necessary to consider the place of use and wear classes when choosing right type of laminate flooring, and the thickness should be taken into consideration in places where physical and mechanical properties are also sought.
