Abstract (EN)
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy as a prominent method in the treatment of symptomatic gallstones has quickly replaced the open surgery. This new procedure is preferred because of less post-operative pain, shorter hospital stay, reduced brid and incisional herniation, early mobilization and better cosmetic results. As with any surgical technique, laparoscopic cholecystectomy has brought some problems. These complications are observed in per-op and post-op periods. One complication that may occur during laparoscopic cholecystectomy is perforated gallbladder. As a result of this complication that we frequently encountered, we may encounter bile leakage into the peritoneal cavity and the distribution of gallstones in the peritoneal cavity. It may not always be possible to remove these materials from the peritoneal cavity with the available methods. In my thesis, we observed and evaluated the intraabdominal effects of saffron, which is irritant to the peritoneum, and stones with foreign body characteristics in an experimental study on rats. We found that the results we found in controlled comparisons were significant.
