Abstract (EN)
In recent years, waste utilization before disposing to the nature is the most important point about waste management emphasized by national and international developments. In Turkey, yearly 24 million tyres are produced and 200.000 ton tyres become waste but evaluation of these waste tyres is very limited. In connection with the management of these wastes, the pyrolysis method that form the subject of this thesis takes place in the section of applicable recovery methods for waste tyres of ?Regulation for Control of the Tyres Which Have Completed Their Life-Cycles (TCL)? that published on the Official Gazette (25.11.2006, No:26357).In this thesis, it was focused on the utilization of solid product obtained from waste tyre pyrolysis. For this aim, TDF was preferred to eliminate negative effects resulted from processing of tyres and to optimize the process conditions. In this content, this thesis was considered in three sections. In the first section, different types of waste tyres were formed into TDF by mixing at several sizes and pyrolysed with the heating rates of 1-5-10-35 °C/min at six different temperatures between 350-500 °C. In the second section, physical and chemical analysis of solid, liquid and gas products were carried out. In the third section, it was focused on solid product utilization as a carbon black. Then, regeneration improvement experiments were done to improve the solid product quality and at the end of the improvement studies, it was seen that solid product was reached commercial carbon black quality. Keywords: Waste Tyre, Carbon Black, Pyrolysis, TDF
