Politic of the Liberation Theology in Latin America: The case of Nicaragua

Abstract (EN)

Throughout history, religion has indirectly and directly influenced many societies. This influence has sometimes been with religion-centered ideas, opinions and practices, and sometimes with institutions. Liberation Theology, which contains all these components and factors, it aimed to build a society in which egalitarian, just and fundamental human rights are at the forefront by intervening in social, economic and political changes in Latin America after Second World War. Taking into account the historical references, the theses of Marxism, one of the important approaches of the period, were used to analyze Latin America. In addition, unlike other Christianity the theological approach, not only theoretical and theological opinions, but also in Latin America, inequality, poverty and injustice for the exchange of Practical (Action for change) the idea of fore. This study primarily focuses on the theoretical and theological outlines of Liberation Theology, the main goals and objectives. Later, the main similarities and differences between Liberation Theology and Marxism were deciphered. Finally, the field of application of the theological approach and Marxism, the Nicaraguan Sandinist Revolution, has been analyzed. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there will be an alternative to some international societies, such as in Latin American countries where religion is referenced, dec on the fact that no comprehensive study has been conducted examining the relationship between "Liberation Theology" and "Marxism". Obtained as a result of this, -considering what they had done during pre and post revolution in Nicaragua- and, in particular, the interaction between liberation theology and Marxism generally opposite each other that there could be the common approaches, the model would be an alternative to the existing community, compliance with basic human rights, it was concluded that an equitable and fair society could be constructed.
