Abstract (EN)
This study was carried out to find the effects of water-soluble vitamin C and fat-soluble vitamin E on the reproductive capacity and growth of both guppies, Poecilia reticulata (Peters, 1860), a kind of live-bearing species, and the ahli cichlids, Sciaenochromis ahli (Trewavas, 1935), a member of oviparous species. As for, the study included four different experimental stage. 16 different vitamin E and vitamin C including diets were used each experiment. In the first trial, in which the diet includes 1000 mg/kg of vitamin C and 300 mg/kg of vitamin E, the highest efficiency was observed in group 16 of adult guppies (p<0.05).The second trial had an ascending amount of both vitamin C and E in the diet and resulted with an increase in the developmental parameters in the offspring of guppies (p<0.05). In addition after a three month trial the group 16 of guppies had reached maturity, and juvenile. In the third trial, similar to evidences of second trial, it was found that the ahli cichlids grew more rapidly when the amount of vitamin in the diet was increased. Both in the second and third trial, death or deceleration in growth have been identified in the groups which have no such vitamins or at least one of them in diet(P<0.05).In the fourth trial, it was not possible to get fish fry from each group of full-grown ahli cichlids. Ahli cichlids only gave fry in the group 16 which has 1000 mg/kg of vitamin C and 300 mg/kg of vitamin E in diet (P<0.05).According to the results of this study, there is an increase in growth and survival of fry as the amount of vitamin C and E added in feed increases.
