Abstract (EN)
Modern society structure, such as division of labor, mechanization, causes employee not to see the whole work and not to know the results of the work. It causes disappointment and alienation of the employee. The alienation of the employee from his/her work creates many negative consequences for the both organization and individual. In this context; researching the factors that affecting work alienation is important as it will contribute to prevent alienation. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of leader member exchange, workplace friendship, role ambiguity and role conflict on work alienation. When the literature is examined, the relationship between variables is noteworthy. However, few studies have examined the relationship between these variables and work alienation. The study was carried out by using quantitative research techniques on 402 employee working in Silivri, Avcilar, Beyoglu, Bakirkoy and Uskudar District Municipalities in Istanbul province. SPSS 20.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) program was used to analyze the data obtained from the study. In this study; Factor Analysis, Reliability Analysis, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Regression Analysis, Independent Samples T-Test and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were applied. When the findings were examined; it was concluded that there is a positive relationship between work alienation, leader member exchange and workplace friendship, and negative relationship between work alienation, role ambiguity and role conflict. Role ambiguity and role conflict impact positively on work alienation, and workplace friendship impact negatively on work alienation.
