Evaluation of effectiveness of occupational healt and safety training of employees in port workplaces

Occupational health and safety problem, the importance of which is understood better day by day in working life, pushes the parties that make up the working life to do more research on this issue. The fact that the spread and adoption of Occupational Health and Safety practices in the working life is in the interest of all parties has started to ensure that research and development activities continue on this axis. Today, companies spend more effort and money on studies to improve Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) practices and OHS culture. One of the important effects in the formation of the OHS culture is the OHS trainings held in the workplaces. In order to prevent occupational accidents and to realize a proactive approach, it is of great importance that OHS trainings are adopted and internalized by all personnel in working life. In this study; By examining the content and methods of OHS trainings held in ports that have a large share in our country and world trade; In this study, it has been tried to reveal the satisfaction levels of the employees in the private port enterprises in our country after the occupational safety trainings and the effect of the trainings on the security culture.
