Abstract (EN)
The port industry has made a great leap forward with the development of maritime transport. This process, which started with loading / unloading at the beginning, has become an important area in import / export operations by adding in various operations such as storage, filling, and unloading. Thus, it needed technological developments to retain its competitive edge in the sector and to accelerate ship operations. These technological developments emerge as both new machines and software. In Industry 4.0, we can say that all technologies are the last point for us today. This revolution, which provides maximum production / service with minimum cost, has a wide scope, so this revolution can be integrated in every sector. Thanks to the integrated, productivity can be increased by relaxing many workflows. However, the question of how removing human factor from the service processes provided at this point affects employment is confusing. Does Industry 4.0 have an impact on employment? Questions arise as if this effect causes a new crisis. In an environment where production increases and costs decrease, it cannot be done without considering the employment factor. Many different views about employment have been put forward and tried to be clarified with various examples. This study aimed to answer and identify questions such as whether it will be possible to integrate into the industry sector in Industry 4.0, which is a new concept for us at a time when the industry needs technology and continues its development, how it will affect employment and what the employees' perspectives on Industry 4.0 are. As s result of this study, we found that the port can adapt to Industry 4.0, and are in compliance with the transformation process. The findings also reveals that Industry 4.0 had an impact on port employment. In addition, those who believes in investing on vii Industry 4.0 has a positive view on employment as oppose to those who believes Industry 4.0 is not worth to invest.
