Abstract (EN)

The purpose of this study is to define Linear Asynchronous Motors (LAM) having motion in forward and forward-backward direction. The different between these type of motors and the others is that the magnetic circuits and coils are open in LAM?s. Recently, the investigations of the desigin and performance of these motors have a great importance, since the application of these type of motors in high-speed railway systems, escalators and many other applications lowers the installation costs. The equivalent circuit of multi-layered system was created by using electromagnetic wave theory in order to obtain the needed parameters for the desigin of linear asynchronous motor. A three phase linear asynchronous motor having length of 1000 mm, width of 80 mm and composed of 48 coils was designed. Experiments similar to ??Open circuit?? and ??Short circuit?? experiments of asynchronous motor were caried out for ??lossless?? and ??lossy?? case. The circular diagram of motor was established according to the experiment results and the operation characteristics of the motor were obtained from the diagram. Different rotor types were tested on the manufactured motor by changing double-poles and obtmined results were presented by using tables. After the comparison of tables, it was concluded that the best results were obtained fore multi layered rotor application. Keywords: Asynchronous, Rotor , Stator , Linear Induction Motor.
