Analysis on type, color and texture relationships in lyrical abstract art

This thesis aims to analyze artworks within the framework of Lyrical Abstract Art by examining the elements of form, color, and texture; and through these analyses, to create a resource that addresses the individual tendencies of artists and the factors influencing the art of the period. In this context, definitions are provided for the concepts of lyricism, form, color, and texture, and the artistic environment and tendencies of artists in Europe and America in the mid-20th century are discussed. By focusing on artists with lyrical tendencies and their works, the study delves into the development and interaction of Lyrical Abstract Art in Europe and America during the 20th century. Certain artists and their works, who have contributed to and shaped the art world, are examined. Emphasis is placed on the elements of form, color, and texture, while other design elements and principles are also considered in the analysis of the works. Lyrical abstract art provided artists with a vast realm of freedom, stripping the language of form from constraints and uniting the artist with endless pursuits of expression within their unique worlds. The enrichment of the language of form has endowed color with countless possibilities beyond its limitations by form. Color has taken its place as a significant element that enhances expression in the artist's works. The element of texture, which enriches the artist's expression, has always created a strong impact in art as an expression of a sense intertwined with feeling. This study, conducted using qualitative research methods, examines artworks through visual analysis techniques. The findings demonstrate that lyrical abstract art develops a rich visual language that showcases the power of the artist's emotional expression and offers the viewer a profound aesthetic experience. These results emphasize the place and importance of lyrical abstract art in art history and highlight the emotional and aesthetic integrity of the works. The relationship between form, color, and texture, considered as the fundamental elements of expression in lyrical abstract art, is explained through examples reflecting the richness of artists' individual expressions in their artworks.
