Abstract (EN)

This study is a field research in which the effects of religious orientation and religious socialization channels of adolescents who are socialized in today's changing socio-cultural environment are investigated. Social factors such as family, education, social environment and mass media have a significant effect on the religious beliefs, attitudes and behaviours of the youth during the socialization process as well as demographic characteristics such as age, education and economic status. Based on this, 8 hypotheses were developed and hypotheses were tested based on the findings of field research. The target population of the study consists of high school youth who study in Batman city centre. Based on the findings, it was examined whether the sample group differed according to demographic variables, and the level of influence of socialization channels on religious attitudes and behaviours were analysed and hypotheses were tested. In the evaluation of the data, statistical analysis, t-test (Independent-Samples T Tests), Analysis of Variance, ONE-WAYANOVA, and Tukey HSD (Post Hoc Comparison) tests were performed. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a difference in religious orientations according to demographic characteristics of the sample group such as school type, socio-cultural stratum, while age did not cause any differentiation.
