Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between academic resilience and familial factors in high school students. The study group of the research consists of 571 high school students who continue their education in various types of schools in Samsun. Convenience sampling method has been used in the formation of the research group. "Demographic Information Form", "Perceived Parent and Teacher Academic Involvement Scale", "Leuven Adolescent Perceived Parenting Scale " and "Academic Resilience Scale" has been used to obtain the data.SPSS 23 statistical program has been used in the analysis of the obtained data. The methods of Multiple Regression Analysis, ANOVA (one-way analysis of variance) and independent samples T-test has been used to get the research findings. According to the results of the analyzes made separately for each of the parents, the parental academic involvement and parental responsiveness has positively predicted academic resilience. The behavioral control of the parents has predicted academic resilience negatively. However, psychological control and autonomy support of the parents are not significant predictors of academic resilience. As a result of the analyzes made according to the total parent evaluation, it has been found that parental responsiveness is a positive predictor of academic resilience, while parental behavioral control is a negative predictor. However, it has been found that parents' autonomy support, psychological control and academic involvement are not significant predictors of academic resilience. It has been concluded that there is no significant difference between the academic resilience score averages of the students depending on the education level of their parents. It has been observed that there is a significant difference between the academic resilience score averages of the students depending on their gender. Academic resilience score averages of female students are lower than male students. The results obtained has been discussed based on the relevant literature, and various suggestions has been made.
