Abstract (EN)

Fluorescent and LED lamps are the most common used light sources both in homes and offices due to their low energy consumptions. However both sources are short of the quality of power factor, harmonic components and colour rendering. Taking these parameters in account, the purpose of this study is to investigate and compare energy quality parameters for especially LED light sources used with lighting control, especially dimmable control. As aresult it can be possible to take measures to eliminate the negative factors affecting the lighting quality. In this study, mentioned light sources are researched in the aspect of harmonic distortion that may occur in the satisfaction of the users of welded color rendering, as a result a significant relationship between the lighting system with distortion of parameters caused by harmonics and visual degradation and light spectrum losses. Examining the previous studies it is understood that this subject is not addressed, and to complete the remaining missing parts of this subject in the literature became one of this thesis' main ideas. Designing an active filter can be an effective solution to the problems about energy quality and electrical harmonics which degrades the visual perception of users and quality of the light applied. Especially PWM and SRF based active filters are studied in thesis after researching previous studies held. As a result simulations of new filter designs limited electrical harmonics under the standard values, furthermore it is proposed that by using this method losses in light spectrum and visual perception shall be prevented.
