In this study, the effects of different boron (B) concentrations (0; 0,4; 0,6; 0,8; 1,0; 1,5; 2; 3; 4; 5; 8; 9; 10; 20; 30; 40; 50; 75 ve 100 mg B/L) on the relative root and stem length, fresh weight and leaf chlorophyll amount of L. salicaria L. plant and the usability of the plant in B phytoremediation were investigated in hydroponic culture. It was determined that there was a statistically negative relationship between the relative root length (%), relative stem length (%) and relative fresh weight (%) of the plant grown at different B concentrations and increasing B concentration (r=-0.67; r=-0.94; r=-0.88, respectively). According to the results obtained, the B concentration where the L. salicaria plant showed the best development was found as 0.4 mg B/L. In addition, a decrease in L. salicaria leaf chlorophyll a and total chlorophyll amount was determined due to the increase in B concentration in the solutions (r=-0.85 and r=-0.79, respectively). According to the data obtained from the accumulation studies, the amount of B accumulated by L. salicaria seedlings grown at different B concentrations differed statistically (F=219.3; p<0.0001). The concentration at which the plant accumulated B best was calculated as 0.6 mg/L. When all the results obtained from this study are evaluated, it will contribute to the L. salicaria species to take its place among the plants that can be used in phytoremediation studies due to its ability to accumulate B in low B concentrations in its tissues.
