Abstract (EN)

Occupational health and safety is a concept that refers to taking measures to protect employees against possible risks in the working environment. Therefore, studies in this field aim to protect the health and safety of employees. Pre-planning for emergencies that may occur and the knowledge and awareness levels of employees on this issue can prevent multiple injuries and deaths in an emergency that may occur. It is very important for employees especially in the mining industry, which is one of the sectors with high occupational accident rates and is in the very dangerous class. In the research carried out within the scope of this thesis, it was tried to measure the emergency knowledge and emergency awareness level of the drilling company employees serving as a subcontractor in Erzincan İliç district. In the first part of the questionnaire, there are demographic information including the personal information of the employees, in the second part there are 25 questions to measure the emergency knowledge and awareness levels of the participants, and in the third part, there are 6 questions to measure the emergency awareness levels of the employees in the emergency team. When the descriptive findings of general emergency attitudes are examined, it is seen that the drilling workers; it was determined that the average of general emergency attitudes was moderate. When the sub-dimension averages of general emergency attitudes are examined; It was determined that the level of emergency knowledge was low and of the emergency awareness level was medium.
