Abstract (EN)

The main purpose of Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is to reduce all kinds of hazards and health risks arising from working conditions in the workplaces and to reduce them to an acceptable risk level. Risk management forms the basis of the increasingly important OHS. Risk management offers a structured systematic approach to managers who take decisions regarding OHS issues and provides the power to make preventive-based decisions by including many technical evaluations and methods into the process. The risk assessment forms the basis of risk management. Risk assessment gives many benefits to the employer for identifying hazards, identifying risks in advance such as preventing possible accidents by taking precautions, reducing losses, increasing quality and efficiency in production, and being ready for emergencies. Therefore, risk assessment and management has become an indispensable element of the sectors today. In addition, with the latest regulations made in the legislation, risk assessment has been made a legal obligation in enterprises. In the OHS Risk Assessment Regulation, which was issued within the scope of the OHS Law No. 6331, how to evaluate the risk assessment in a business is explained. In this study, risk assessments were analyzed in 3 sections as qualitative (verbal), quantitative (numerical) and mixed risk assessment techniques, and a risk assessment study was selected by choosing Fine Kinney risk analysis among these analyzes. Fine Kinney Risk analysis method is one of the systematic methods commonly used in risk assessment. A risk measurement value is obtained by evaluating three factors such as the probability of occurrence of a risk, the frequency of exposure to hazard and the degree of severity it will result from. Numerical scales were created for these factors and a risk score was estimated from the product of three factors. A numerical scale was created for the calculated risk score and the importance of the risk was evaluated according to this scale.
