Abstract (EN)

According to the Turkey mining report 2020, mining is a sector that is constantly developing in our age and growing as it develops. Civilization has developed in parallel with the evaluation of the mines that make up the underground resources. For this reason, the basis of economic development is the Mining Sector. Miners, one of the hidden heroes of technological development, continue to serve as a locomotive in the progress of societies today, as in the past. While the miners are trying to meet their raw material needs, they also take measures to eliminate the increasing environmental and social concerns. Increasing climate change concerns on a global scale have had significant effects on the mining industry. Mining companies are now taking important steps towards a more environmentally friendly and responsible producer. Gold mining companies that have been certified within the framework of the International Cyanide Management Code in our country are an important example of these steps. Although an environment of negative attitude towards mining activities is tried to be created, miners are rapidly adapting to new environmental norms and are trying to act very pioneering in environmental measures. In our country, 70 of the 90 mines traded in the world are available as a resource. In terms of mineral diversity, Turkey is in an important position in terms of its geological belt. Our country ranks 8th among 168 countries in the world in terms of resource diversity. Occupational Health and Safety should also be ensured. With the risk analysis results made by using the Fine-Kinney method, Hazard and Operability Analysis Method, What Happens Method, Primary Risk Analysis Methods and L Type Matrix (5*5), it is ensured that the risk that may occur is minimized in the work of the mines. It is ensured that it continues to work without any problems in terms of health and safety.
