Organizational commitment research in local government institutions

In todays business environment the notion of organizational commitment has been one of the topics for institutional efficiency and productivity, and also like job satisfaction and contentment, it is one of the research topics in enterprice development. Due to the importance of the topic many researches has been made especially by the government institutions. It has been known that organizational commitment effects moral and physical aspects of intitutions. In our research, publications, made for organizational commitment through some local government institutions in Turkey has been studied, in respect of time sequence. And also organizational commitment studies made in foreign academic literature has been scanned and enlisted in order by date, author and topic. One metropolitan municipality is chosen, as a local government institution. And with a written survey made with the employees of this organization some descriptive results has been obtained. And the descriptive results of former academic researches,Thus, the results and the descriptives of the survey has been confirmed.
