Abstract (EN)

As all around the world, in our country, buildings are one of the most important energy consuming factors, so they have an important responsibility for the greenhouse gases released to atmosphere. Loads such as HVAC Units, lightening, and the other outlays from the other needs are the basic energy consuming elements in the buildings. In this thesis, it is focused on contribution of buildings on the energy-consumption both in our country and around the world. By the possible studies; it is searched to find the ways to use energy most efficiently without comprising comfort. For this reason, for Malatya city, energy efficiency analysis in a sample building has been done. By choosing different HVAC systems in the sample building, energy simulation has been performed. These systems; amount of annual energy consumption and cost, systems? investment cost, basic payback period and carbon dioxide gas caused to release into atmosphere have been compared. The effect of heat insulation has been analysed for sample building. Under the insulated outer walls and double glass windows, by energy saving and sustainability have been compared. Carrier HAP software has been used to carry out energy simulations. In this study, annual energy cost and low amount of CO2 emission, capability of guarantee comfort conditions have shown that FCU systems are suitable for the sample building. It has been observed that architectural alternatives considerably support energy saving.
