The The effects of material requirement planning system improvements on production planning and control activities and an application in automotive sector

The improvements of Material Requirements Planning, which is one of theProduction Planning and Control Acivities, handled as five chapter in this study.In the first chapter Production Planning and Control Activities and theplace of Material Requirements Planning system in Production Planning and Controlsystem is explained.In the second chapter, the applications and the problems faced during theseapplications of Material Requirement Planning system have taken place.The third chapter of this study includes the definitions, applications, usingarea and problems faced during the applications of Manufacturing Resource Planningsystem.In the fourth chapter Enterprise Resourse Planning system,implementations, specifications, problems during the applications are explained.The application of Material Requirement Planning system put in practice inTırsan Company. In this application solutions for problems are suggested. Theapplication is supported with a survey. According to this survey the installation ofEnterprise Resource Planning system is suggested to keep in step with market and toincrease the resource efficiency.
