Abstract (EN)
The highest point in the research area where the Manavgat Stream separates the Western Taurus and Central Taurus and the Dim River valley in the east is the summit of the Geyik Mountain (2877 m). All of the big streams pouring into the Mediterranean Sea in the south and part of Göksu and Gevne Stream in the north are within the research area. In this study, the priority of the two major river basins (Kargı and Karpuz), which are selected as a sample area, are measured by biodiversity calculations, with the Mediterranean and continental climate, as well as all the parameters of the climate that varies depending on the altitude, and other ecological factors are studied in detail. A quantitative answer was sought for the selection of the field. The vegetation was grouped as forest formation, maquis formation, alpine plants, coastal dune formation, and each was examined under a separate heading. In the field studies carried out in vegetation periods, a total of 356 plant samples were collected and all of them were identified. In order to give an idea about plant distribution, 8 plant sections have been created roughly in the N-S and E-W directions. The plant distribution map, which includes some shrubs and herbaceous species as well as the dominant tree species, is one of the most important outputs of the research. In addition, determination of the areas where the species show density due to the physiological needs of the GIS environment depending on the topographic variables has been quite a guide in explaining the distribution. In the floristic study conducted in 160 sample areas in Kargı River and Karpuz River basins, 175 different plant species were collected. Biodiversity parameters calculated by "alpha" (α), "beta" (β) and gamma (γ) diversity analysis, as a result, Kargı River basin was found to be richer in terms of plant diversity. Finally, with the 'SHE' analysis, which takes an important role in biodiversity calculations, the results of the diversity calculations were evaluated in detail, and the sensitive areas to be prioritized in conservation were determined by analyzing the diversity and balance of the sample areas.
