Manavgat Taşağıl neighborhood music practices

In this study titled Manavgat Taşağıl Neighborhood Music Practices, the music practices in the culture of the neighborhood were dealt. The research was carried out to examine the relevant cultural elements of the neighborhood and to reveal various cultural products. Not having been done any work on this subject before is significant and this has paved the way for the study to be conducted. During the preparatory phase of the study, the literature related to folk culture was scanned by literature search. After the screening, this study was carried out within the scope of field research. Reference people with information about the culture and musical elements of the neighborhood were identified and the findings were recorded using observation and interview techniques. In this study conducted within the scope of field research, the history of the neighborhood, folk cultural elements and music practices are included. As a result of the research, 14 folk melodies were compiled and recorded. In addition, recorded findings were evaluated verbally and musically.
