Abstract (EN)
Magnetic levitation process can be defined basically as; lifting, rotating or shifting of an object that can move magnetically without help of any physical magnitude other than a magnetic force. Based on the assumption that one of the biggest problems in the industry is the friction problem, the fact that the friction problem is avoided due to the absence of physical contact in magnetic levitation makes this process quite economically preferable. Preventing the friction problem not only eliminates the deformations due to material wear and heating, but also provides faster and smooth conditions. Suspension, rotation at a certain speed, motion at a certain speed of an object that can be manipulated magnetically creates the need for a control system. In this thesis the response time of the two control methods and their stability during the control process is compared by applying them on CE 152 system, which is one of the magnetic systems, and an appropriate solution is given to the controller demand is proposed. The control systems used in this study are; PID control and second order sliding mode control. In this thesis an appropriate response to the controller demand is proposed, by comparing the response time to their controller and their stability in the control process with PID Control and Second Order Sliding Mode Control methods on CE152 system, which is one of the magnetic levitation systems.
