Abstract (EN)

In this study, especially magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized as controlled size and structure. It is the purpose of this thesis is to increase functionality of magnetic nanoparticle and to prevent agglomeration. Surface functionalized nanoparticles were used in polymerization reaction as precursor materials.Inthisthesis, magnetic Fe3O4, CoFe2O4, NiFe2O4, ZnFe2O4 and geotite nano materials were preferred. Later the surface of those structures were functionalized via sol-gel techniques. In the final part of the study, Obtain surface functionalized nanoparticles were used in hybrid material synthesis via ATRP polymerization. Poly(methylmethacrylate) and poly(vinylpyrrolidone) were chosen as polymers.Thermal properties of the nanoparticules were eluciduanted in terms of TGA and DTA, SEM, EDX, XRD and FT-IR were used investigated for the size, composition and structural properties of the nanoparticles. VSM technique were applied for magnetic characterization. Keywords; Magnetic Nanoparticles, Surface modification, ATRP.
