Abstract (EN)

In this master's thesis study, the electromagnetic (EM) absorption properties of hemp fabrics were investigated using magnetic Ni₀.₅Zn₀.₅Fe₂O₄ nanoparticles and multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) composite nanoparticles. The nanoparticles synthesized via the microwave-assisted combustion method were combined with purchased MWCNT nanoparticles and hemp fabric to form a layered structure. The EM wave absorption performance of this structure in the X-band frequency range (8.2–12.4 GHz) was evaluated using scattering parameters (S₁₁ and S₂₁) and complex dielectric and magnetic permeability coefficients. The results demonstrated that the composite structures obtained by combining both dielectric and magnetic materials enhanced EM wave absorption capacity. By integrating the natural absorption capacity of hemp fabric, the high conductivity properties of MWCNT, and the magnetic properties of nanoparticles, the EM absorption efficiency was optimized. This thesis proposes a sustainable and high-performance EM absorbing material suitable for use in defense industry and radar stealth technologies.
