The debate on analogia (Analogy) and anomalia (Anomaly) in the ancient era within the framework between the eighth and the tenth books of de lingua latina by Marcus Terentius Varro and Varro's position regarding the debate

In this study, the debate on analogy and anomaly that was treated between the eighth and the tenth book of De Lingua Latina by Marcus Terentius Varro and Varro's position regarding the debate will be explored. Being in the key position in the lingual world of antiquity, this debate had begun in Greek world and later spread to the intellectual environment of Rome. The term analogy refers to a lingual order that might be acceptable within the framework of mathematics and takes place in the modern linguistics too. Since the work of Varro is the most prominent work concerning the subject and most comprehensive one written on the grammar of Latin at the time, the related chapter within the work that includes the debate will be taken as reference and the point of view of M.
