Abstract (EN)
Glass ceramic glazes, which are used as coating materials in the production of ceramic sanitary ware, gain importance in the field of design with their aesthetic appearance as well as their features such as high wear resistance, strength, resistance to chemicals and hygiene. The production of glazes with glossy opaque surfaces is always common in ceramic sanitary ware products. In recent years, it is seen that the interest in matte colored products has increased due to the increase in the demand for design. In particular, the increase in matte black production, which is included in the matte color product group, is remarkable. Increasing capacities, along with constantly increasing raw material costs and energy costs, and the fact that the produced matte black glazes do not exhibit a stable behavior against process variability have increased the importance of recipe studies. In this thesis, the interactions of the pigments used in matte black colored products with the raw material and the product properties were investigated under production conditions. For this purpose, the stability of different pigments, which are still used commercially, in the current process parameters was determined as a result of the studies made with the matte base glaze recipe and the thesis studies were completed. The results obtained are to understand the effects of the proportional differences of the raw materials in the recipes on the product properties and to contribute to taking quick action by guiding the recipe revisions in the current production problems.
