Abstract (EN)

The research group consisting of 63 students, were randomly selected from 130 students who were studying in the 12th grade in a private high school in Cankaya, which is a district of Ankara in the spring semester of the 2015-2016 academic year. While the GeoGebra computer application was applied to teach the subject of geometric space for the experimental group of the research, the existing education-teaching approach in the curriculum prepared by the Board of Education for the control group was maintained. Assignment students included in the study to the experiment and control groups were randomly carried out, so forming two groups that differ in their academic achievement in the pre test phase was aimed. A total of 31 students were composed of 12 girls and 19 boys in the experimental group and 32 students including 14 girls and 18 boys were involved in the control group. "Personal Information Form" and "Achievement Test" prepared by the researcher were used in the research. There was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group as a result of the academic achievement test applied to the students regarding the geometric space after the pre test analyzes. When the students' responses to the academic achievement test were examined, there was a statistically significant difference in the post test results between the experimental group and the control group in favor of the experimental group. In addition, there was a significant difference between pre test – post test in terms of control group and experimental group. As a result of the analysis of the sub-problem of the research, there was a statistically significant difference between the academic achievement scores of the experimental group in terms of gender variable, while there was no statistically significant difference between the academic achievement scores of the control group in terms of gender variable.
