Abstract (EN)

The science of the nasikh and the mansoukh is one of the most important sciences of the Noble Qur'an, and muslim scholars differed about its presence in the Noble Qur'an. Some of them claim that abrogation is found in the Holy Qur'an a lot, and others think that it is very little, not more than few examples. Imam al-Mawardi is one of the leading scholars of jurisprudence (fiqh), fundamentals of jurisprudence , and tafsir, he authored the tafsir book of "al-Nokat and al-Oyuoun", and wrote a great book in Shafi'i jurisprudence called "al-Hawi al-Kabir", as well as authored many other books related to Islamic sciences, politics and governance. The aim of this thesis is to shed light on the concept of transcription (alnaskh) in the Noble Qur'an in the thought of Imam al-Mawardi, by presenting some examples that he cited in the two books "al-Nokat and al-Oyuoun" and "al-Hawi al-Kabir". This thesis consists of three chapters, the first chapter on the life of Imam al-Mawardi from the scientific and political point of view briefly, and on the method that al-Mawardi used when presenting the Qur'anic verses in which a scribe and abrogated in his book "al-Nokat and al-Oyuoun", while the second chapter talks about the definition of abrogation (al-naskh) and the views of the imam Al-Mawardi on that definition, and the third chapter talks about types of abrogation (al-naskh) in the Noble Qur'an and al-Mawardi's views on those types.
