Özet (EN)

In the study, it is intended to determine the optimum drilling parameters for the best hole quality in the assembly proccesses of parts made from solid wood materials and MDFlam, especially in highly used modern joining techniques and drilling operations. To this end, Beech (Fagus Orientalis L.), one of the most frequently used leafy tree species in the woodworking and furniture industry, Spruce (Picea orientalis L.), tropical tree species, Iroka (Chlorophora excelsa), and layered wood MDFlam were selected as the experimental material. The samples prepared according to the TS 2470 standard have been drilled using an 8 mm diameter drill bits CNC machine made of two types og HSS materials used for drilling. The inlet and outlet of the holes obtained were analyzed from different anglus. Surface roughness measurements according to ISO 4287 were performed on the inner surfaces of the holes, and Ra and Rz values were obtained. It is shown that the most ideal result was obtained with a double interference cutter (cutter number 2) at 18 000 rpm and feed of 1750 mm/minute for in-hole roughness values of the MDF test sample. In the drilling operations performed with a double entry cutter, the lowest roughness values were obtained in all materials.
