Abstract (EN)

From the past to the present, every patient's expectations about healthcare have changed. However, access to health services has been greatly facilitated for foreign patients who need high quality services, with great advantages in terms of internet and transportation facilities. Based on this view the purpose of this thesis is to be able to closely monitor the expectations of foreign patients about health institutions, whose expectations change day by day depending on today's conditions and unlike other studies, it is to reveal the intentions of patients to re-prefer the healthcare service where they receive service by examining the patients not only in terms of their satisfaction level, but also in the value they perceive. In the research, a questionnaire was used as a data collection tool. In the first part of the form, there is a questionnaire for determining the socio-demographic characteristics of the participants. In the second part, the Perceived Value Scale with 31 questions developed by Özeloğulları (2009) to determine the value perceived by the participants regarding health services, in the third part, Ünal et al. (2018), 4 question Patient Satisfaction Scale, and in the last section, the 5 question Intention to Re-Service Scale developed by Çağlıyan (2017) to determine the intention to receive service from the hospital. In the analysis of data, SPSS (Statistical Package Program For Social Sciences) was applied with 25 programs; ANOVA, independent groups t-test, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Linear Regression Analysis, Multiple Linear Regression Analysis were used. The data were analyzed at 95% confidence interval. According to the results of the study, it is seen as a great advantage that our country is in a more advantageous position in terms of its geopolitical location compared to many countries and that it is in an increasing trend in the world in terms of healthcare services. However, it is possible to increase the preference levels of foreign patients who have received medical tourism service from our country and whose expectations are constantly changing. In order to ensure that foreign patients who have received health services can receive service from the same health institution, it is recommended that health institutions determine the extent to which the patient's expectations are met and to make new research plans in order to respond to the problem in cases where patient expectations are not adequately met.
