Abstract (EN)
Body image, refers to a person's image and behavior dimension. With the start of forming the consumer society, also the meanings attributed to the body have been changed. Events in the media have an influence on this subject and the body image is shaped in this direction. It composes the main subject of this research which media inhibits the human bodies and brings it out even more by using serials, advertisements and magazine programs. In this context, based on the development process of communication and the media, the meanings attributed to the human body has been explained and assessed within the framework of an example of a series, an advertisement and a celebrity show.
