Abstract (EN)

Divan of Şevkî is registered in Konya Koyunoğlu City and Museum Library at archive number 12678. It is a divan written to praise the prophet Muhammad and his Ahl al-beyt. Şevkî's Divan is an example of divans written on a single subject in Classical Turkish literature. In our study, it is aimed to present a new work that can be evaluated within this scope. Our study consists of three parts. In the first part, Şevkî's life, his sense of art and his divan; collation and content of the manuscript and the place of Divan of Şevkî in naat literature is discussed. In the second part, the technical aspect of the study is presented within the framework of rhythm features, verse forms, language, and orthographic features. Then, Ahl al-bayt of prophet Muhammad, four caliphs and twelve imams in three main headings are given and these three categories have been examined through twenty sub-headings: Ahl al-bayt of Prophet Muhammad, Abu Bakr, Omar, Osman, Ali, Hassan, Hussein, Hamza, Abbas, Fatima, Hatice, Zeynelabidin, Muhammad Bakir, Cafer Sadik, Musa Kazim, Ali Riza, Muhammad Takî, Ali Nakî, Hassan Askerî and Muhammad Mahdi and finally in terms of rhetorical technic called 'tensikü's-sıfat' due to the praising style dominated by the divan has been analyzed. In the last part, the transcripted text of Divan of Şevkî and its intralingual translation are given. The data obtained as a result of the analyzes were evaluated and the results were presented to the attention of the researchers.
