Identification of social problems and proposals for solutions in Mehmet Aki̇f Ersoy's "Safahat"

Mehmet Akif Ersoy, pioneer of the journey of truth, the conscience's pen, and the distinguished architect of our national anthem. His words have been etched into the pages of history in an unforgettable manner, serving as an inspiration and a source of wisdom transcending centuries. Mehmet Akif Ersoy's words resonate beyond time; they are like a cry that shakes hearts, a call that moves consciences. Akif's "Safahat" is not just a book of poetry; it is the voice of the nation, a witness to history, and a unique treasure that inspires future generations.This research aims to deeply understand Mehmet Akif Ersoy's ideals and his vision of societal transformation by analyzing the profound social critiques and solution proposals in his work "Safahat". This qualitative study approaches the work with an analytical perspective, focusing on the examination of the poems in their social and cultural context. The study attempts to discuss Mehmet Akif Ersoy's societal themes and the solutions he presents in his work. An original study that incorporates Akif's solution proposals is targeted. The primary source utilized in this study is "Safahat". Numerous works and an extensive literature review about Mehmet Akif Ersoy and "Safahat" have formed the foundation of this research. The political, social, and cultural conditions of Akif's era are carefully examined in relation to how his ideas in the work were shaped and influenced. By emphasizing the echoes and universal relevance of the societal critiques in "Safahat" to the present day, this study contributes significantly to sociology and social sciences. It highlights how "Safahat" ignites societal sensitivity, provokes thought, and guides every generation, thus underscoring the value and scope of the study.
