An analysis on the stories of Mehmet Semih

Mehmet Semih, a humor storyteller, is the son of a newspaper writer father. The loss of his father at a young age causes his education to end. Thanks to his literary curiosity that started in primary school, he had the opportunity to meet many writers. As a result of his attempts to write in genres such as poetry and theater, he finally decides on the genre of humor storytelling and gives his works in this field. His aim is to reveal exploited, oppressed, deceived people, empty exaggerations in a sarcastic, instructive and humorous style. The author always adopts this understanding in his stories. This thesis provides information about Mehmet Semih's life, art and works. The study is limited to the author's works in the story genre. Each book is analyzed and evaluated under the headings of introduction, plot, mentality, people, time, place, theme, language and expression, and conclusion. The aim of this thesis is to reveal the life, art and works of the author by mentioning Mehmet Semih's humor storytelling.
