Abstract (EN)
This Master Thesis provides a study of the province from the perspective of the space and time in ''A Common Story'' ,''Oblomov'', ''The Precipise'' - three famous novels constituting a trilogy by Ivan Alexandrovich Goncharov - one of the prominent Russian writers. In his novels created in the period when the attempts to destroy the conventional order of life came to the forefront, Ivan Goncharov scrutinized in the finest detail the province as a symbol of the conventional world. The aim of this is to reflect the Russian province by reference to the province and provincial characters in Ivan Alexandrovich Goncharov's novels and to bring forward the artistic creativity of the writer merely known in our country for this aspect.
