Feminist intervention to the space: Street art with selected examples

In this study, it is examined with which codes the street, which is determined as a production area by women street artists, is built as an urban space and the effects of these codes on women's experience and artistic production through gender roles. It is revealed how the codes of the dominant ideology that make up the street determine the experiences of women in general, and the artistic production of artist women in particular, and how the productions of selected women artists interfere with the space by breaking the male-dominated codes. Artist women's artistic interventions in the street, the elements that make up the street, the gender discriminatory codes of these elements, the historical relationship between women and the street and the effects of their choice of the street as a production area are discussed from a feminist perspective.
