Worship in the Mecca period

Hz. Muhammad started to be a subject of revelation in 610, and started his first notification duty in the community of Mecca, where he lived. Hz. Muhammad was sent as a prophet to a society that worshiped idols in general and has a belief system that contains shirk elements. In Mecca period, issues related to belief were emphasized and prayers started to take shape in this period. In the environment where Islam came, the people of Mecca were also shaped around idols because of their idolatry belief system. Hz. Muhammad tried to restore the belief in the monotheism by trying to correct the wrong belief systems of the society during his life in Mecca. The worship began to take shape during the Mecca period for this belief in monotheism. The process specified as the Makkah period refers to the section from the beginning of the generally accepted risk to the emigration to Madinah. The worship, which began to take shape in the Makkah period, took its final form in a period of twenty three years. During the Makkah period, prayers started to emerge gradually with the language and style of the Quran. Worship was not ordered at once, primarily minds were prepared for this process. As a result of this research, the emergence of formal worship as prayer, fasting, zakat, sacrifice and pilgrimage were examined. With this study, worship during the Mecca period was presented comparatively in the form of worship of the polytheists and worship of the Muslims.
