Mekki b. Ebi Talib and his two books those named er-Ri'aye li-Tecvidi'l-Kıra'e and Tahkiki Lafzi't-Tilave Titled Work

Makki b. Abi Talib (437/1045) was born in Qayravan in the middle of the fourth century and died in Cordoba in the middle of the fifth century. In some sources, names such as El- Kaysî, El- Mukrî, El- Kayravânî, El-Andalusian, El- Kurtubî, El-Mağribî were used for him. Mekki is a science lover and started his scientific life at a young age. He made his first scientific journey to Egypt at the age of 13. For 25 years, he took lessons from different scholars in different towns and trained many students. Later, he became one of the leading scholars of the Andalusian recitation tradition. Makki is a prosperous person who learned other religious scholars besides qira'ah and wrote many works in these fields. He gained fame with his knowledge, morality, modesty and being pious. His work, er-Ri‛âye li-Tecvîdi'l-Kırâeti ve Tahkîki Lafzi't-Tilâve, is accepted as the first systematic tajvid work that has survived to the present day. This work is among the most valuable works written in the field of tajvid from the time it was written to the present day. Although the author occasionally included the views of some of the previous scholars in his work, he rather reflected his own opinion. This style of his has increased the value of his work even more and has made it a source work among many tajvid books written until today. The work also consists of 48 chapters, 34 sections and 3 sub-chapters under the heading "Declaration of the State of Shaded Letters".
