Abstract (EN)

Muhyiddin Mehmed b. Ilyas Memi Can (d. 1008/1599), who lived in the 16th century, was from Manisa (Saruhan). He was in the position of sheikh in the Ushshaki sect. He played an important role in the spread of the Ushshakiyya sect in Manisa, Bursa and Istanbul regions. He is the only branch from which the Ushshakiyya branch of the Halvetiyya continues. He is one of the rare people who left a written work in Ushshakiyya. There are poetic and prose works of him. Memi Can Efendi was considered from kutbu'l-aktab. He presented his work "Lübbü'l- Usûl fi Ma'rifeti Tarîkati'l- Vusûl" to Sultan III. Murad and he got honored by the Sultan. He decorated his work with couplets of sufis such as Mevlana and Feridüddin-i Attar. It is the work on sufism, that mentions about sect methods. In the study done, information was given about the life and works of Memi Can Efendi. Later, a detailed the critical scrutiny of the work named "Lübbü'l- Usûl fi Ma'rifeti Tarîkati'l- Vusûl", which constitutes the original study, was made. The critical scrutiny was made on the basis of the author's manuscript.
