Abstract (EN)
The fact that the majority of systems in real world applications are nonlinear increases the importance of using nonlinear elements in electronic designs. In order to design these systems to be simpler and more efficient, it is important to investigate the usage areas of non-linear elements. Studies in this field began when the memristor, a non-linear circuit element, was proposed by Chua in 1971. The physical production of the memristor element in HP laboratories in 2008 accelerated the work and increased the number of studies on memristor and memristor elements. Although memcapacitor and meminductor elements have not yet been physically produced, emulator circuits that imitate the behavior of the elements are being developed and the application areas of the elements are being investigated. In this context, one meminductor emulator circuit and five new memcapacitor emulator circuits are proposed within the scope of this thesis. Mathematical models of emulator circuits were created and proofs of the circuits were made. The operating characteristics of the circuits were examined in a simulation environment. In order to test the circuits in the real world, the circuits were created on the PCB and tested. In order to better demonstrate the operating characteristics of the circuits, tests were carried out on an adaptive learning application that mimics the amoeba's response to temperature. The results obtained show that the emulator circuits we tested gave the desired results in applications and the learning mechanisms worked as expected.
