Dictionary of Menâkıb-ı Eşrefzâde [Concordance and functional dictionary]

Eşrefoğlu Rumi, 15th century, is one of the most important personalities of religious literature. Although there is not enough information about his life in historical sources, Menakıb-ı Eşrefzade is an important resource in this regard. This work written by Bursalı Abdullah Veliyyüddin describes the life of Eşrefoğlu Rumi, his life, his students, his various heirs and his caliphs. In this study, we aimed to reveal his vocabulary in this study because we consider Menâkıb-ı Eşrefzade, which carries a historical source characteristic, in terms of religious-sufistic Turkish literature. For this purpose, we decided to do corcondace and functional glossary work. While preparing the dictionary, we uploaded the transcribed text of Menakıb-ı Eşrefzade to the TEBDIZ database. Then we make sense of the words in the text as appropriate. With this study, we tried to present the meaning world of Menakıb-ı Eşrefzade and present a cultural asset to the researchers. Our study consists of two main sections outside the entrance. In the introduction part, we give general information about menkıbe, it's mean sufistic story, and menâkıb-nâme literature under the title of menâkıb type in Turkish literature. In the first chapter, we give information about the author, subject and reason of writing. In the second part, we aimed to examine Menakıb-ı Eşrefzade in more detail. For this purpose, the names of the names of the work, sufi terms, miracle motifs, poems and pattern statements by removing the necessary information about them. The appendix of our study is devoted to the Concordance and Functional Dictionary of Menâkıb-ı Eşrefzâde, which was created within the scope of the TEBDIZ project.
